Mission

Driven by Autistic people and their families, the National Autism Network informs Canada’s Autism Strategy and helps shape a future where Autistic people thrive.

Vision

A Canada where the lived and living experiences of Autistic people and their families shape policies, systems, and communities to foster full inclusion, equity, and opportunity at every stage of life.

I’m excited to help lead the National Autism Network, built on lived experience, collective wisdom, and community leadership, grounded in the belief that all Autistic people, indigenous communities, and families must shape the future of policies and systems that affect our lives.

Canada’s Autism Strategy is not only a milestone for boosting the quality of life and advancing inclusion of all Autistic people, but a fundamental step for Canada to meet our obligations under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). I’m honoured to be involved with the National Autism Network, which will play a key role to ensure Canada implements the Autism Strategy and fulfils our promises in a way that includes all Autistic people at every step and reflects the foundational value of the disability rights movement – ‘nothing about us without us.’
