Siyu Chen

INTERIM VICE CHAIR OF THE NATIONAL AUTISM NETWORK,

AUTISTIC ADVOCATE

Canada’s Autism Strategy is not only a milestone for boosting the quality of life and advancing inclusion of all Autistic people, but a fundamental step for Canada to meet our obligations under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). I’m honoured to be involved with the National Autism Network, which will play a key role to ensure Canada implements the Autism Strategy and fulfils our promises in a way that includes all Autistic people at every step and reflects the foundational value of the disability rights movement - ‘nothing about us without us.’

Maddy Dever

INTERIM CHAIR OF THE NATIONAL AUTISM NETWORK,

AUTISTIC ADVOCATE AND PARENT OF AUTISTICS

I’m excited to help lead the National Autism Network, built on lived experience, collective wisdom, and community leadership, grounded in the belief that all Autistic people, indigenous communities, and families must shape the future of policies and systems that affect our lives.

The National Autism Network will provide an important forum for the Autism community to be involved in the development of federal policies and programs that affect them.

Connect with us to stay up-to-date on the National Autism Network.
